The 2nd Symposium “Perspectives on European Animation” will take place on 26 February 2026 at the premises of AKTO College of Arts in Athens, Greece. The event will also be available online, allowing wider access to its discussions. All sessions will be held in Greek, with the exception of George Sifianos’ lecture, which will be delivered in English.
The Festivals Animation Network (FAN) continues its European showcase with “Best of Animation from Greece,”presented in cooperation with the Internationales Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart (ITFS). The screening highlights the richness and diversity of Greek animation through FAN’s flagship programmes FAN Masters and FAN Young European Talents, offering audiences a curated journey across generations of creators and storytelling approaches.
The 49th edition of CINANIMA welcomed two FAN programes from FAN Tour: FAN Masters and FAN. Young European Talents, bringing a wide range of European animation to audiences in Espinho.
From 31st October to 2nd November, FAN and CINANIMA made a trip to China to participate in the Cyber Sousa Xiamen International Animation Festival.
The FAN – Festivals Animation Network is bringing the best of European animation beyond borders through the FAN Tour, with its next stop on September 13, at the Jonas Šliūpas Museum, in Palanga (Lithuania), as part of the BLON Animation and Games Festival.
The FAN Frame project is bringing creative animation education to young audiences in multiple countries. Through hands-on workshops led by professional animators, students are exploring storytelling and visual expression, while experimenting with the art of animation in inspiring and playful ways.
