FAN Tour arrives in Lithuania with a special programme at BLON Animation and Games Festival

The FAN – Festivals Animation Network is bringing the best of European animation beyond borders through the FAN Tour, with its next stop on September 13, at the Jonas Šliūpas Museum, in Palanga (Lithuania), as part of the BLON Animation and Games Festival.

The FAN Tour is an initiative dedicated to promote European animation worldwide, connecting diverse audiences with works created by established directors, as well as emerging talents. With screenings taking place in both conventional venues and alternative spaces, the project celebrates artistic diversity and fosters intercultural dialogue through the universal language of cinema.

At BLON Festival, the programme “Southern Voices, Animated Stories” will be presented, featuring films selected from the FAN Masters and FAN. Young European Talents catalogues. This line-up offers Lithuanian audiences a rich and varied glimpse of contemporary European animation, showcasing different styles, techniques, and artistic visions.

  • The Meatseller – Margherita Giusti (Italy, 2023)
  • Pink Mountain – Thomas Künstler (Greece, 2022)
  • Uncle Thomas, Accounting for the Days – Regina Pessoa (Portugal, 2019)

Following its launch on May 10, 2025, at the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) in Germany, the FAN Tour travels now to Lithuania, further expanding the international visibility of European animation.
