The 49th edition of CINANIMA welcomed two FAN programes from FAN Tour: FAN Masters and FAN. Young European Talents, bringing a wide range of European animation to audiences in Espinho.
The FAN Tour showcased a selection of standout works from the countries of our five partner festivals (Animafest Cyprus (Cyprus), Animasyros (Greece), CINANIMA (Portugal), IMAGINARIA (Italy) and Prime the Animation (Spain)), reinforcing the network’s mission of taking European auteur animation to diverse audiences.
The 2025 FAN Masters programme explored the curatorial theme “Memory”, inviting viewers to dive into personal, expressive and universal narratives.
CINANIMA also hosted screenings of FAN. Young European Talents, featuring short films created by emerging European animators. Each FAN partner festival contributed its own curated programme, offering a rich mosaic of styles, perspectives and storytelling approaches.
All sessions were free and open to the public, celebrating young creativity and reinforcing FAN’s commitment to supporting new talent across Europe, with the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA.
