FAN Green

Increasingly aware of the environmental impact generated by the activities of each Partner Festival, FAN launched a two-year programme aimed at achieving a sustainable film industry and simultaneously raising the audience awareness about environmental challenges. 

The FAN Green Commitment is guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the European Green Deal, as well as being inspired by the environmental efforts of the Annecy Festival Commits! initiative. 

FAN takes real action to reduce its carbon footprint, lower energy consumption, minimise waste, promote sustainable film practices, and raise environmental awareness. Such eco-friendly actions target both the FAN team and the audience at FAN’s events (professionals and non-professionals, adults, young people and children). 

The FAN Green Commitment is a roadmap toward environmental sustainability. To keep track of the Partner Festivals’ achievements, FAN also supports the use of the Green Charter for Film Festivals, a CREA Media co-founded tool, to track and report on transport, energy, food, and waste data.
